Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of easytlds.com (the "Service") operated by EasyTLDs ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

EasyTLDs provides:

  • Domain price comparison — aggregated registration, renewal, and transfer prices from multiple registrars, updated hourly
  • Domain monitoring — uptime, SSL, DNS, port, ping, and HTTP content checks for user-added domains
  • Public status pages — shareable uptime dashboards for monitored domains
  • REST API — programmatic access to TLD pricing data
  • Notifications — email, Slack, Telegram, and webhook alerts for monitoring events

2. Accounts

2.1 Registration

You may create an account using email/password or via Google or GitHub OAuth. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering you represent that you meet this requirement.

2.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

3. Free and Paid Plans

3.1 Free Plan

The free plan includes limited domain monitoring slots and API requests. We may adjust free plan limits at any time. The free plan is provided as-is with no uptime or support guarantees.

3.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel at any time — your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

3.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice to your registered email. Continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to monitor domains you do not own or have authorization to monitor
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute price data from EasyTLDs in bulk for competing services
  • Use the API to build a product that replicates the core functionality of EasyTLDs
  • Register multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or illegal content
  • Impersonate another person or entity

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

5. Domain Price Data

5.1 Accuracy

Domain prices are collected from registrar websites and APIs using automated scrapers. While we update prices hourly, we do not guarantee that prices are accurate, current, or complete at any given time. Always verify the final price on the registrar's website before purchasing.

5.2 Affiliate Links

Price comparison pages contain affiliate links. When you click "Register" and complete a purchase at a registrar, we may earn a commission. This does not affect the price you pay. Affiliate relationships do not influence the ranking or display order of registrars — sorting is always based on price.

5.3 No Endorsement

Listing a registrar on EasyTLDs does not constitute an endorsement. We are not responsible for the products, services, or policies of any third-party registrar.

6. Domain Monitoring

6.1 Monitoring Scope

Monitoring checks (uptime, SSL, DNS, port, ping) are performed from our server infrastructure at intervals you configure. Results are provided for informational purposes only.

6.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring or immediate alert delivery. Monitoring checks may be delayed or skipped during maintenance, infrastructure issues, or high load. The Service should not be your sole monitoring solution for mission-critical systems.

6.3 Notifications

Alert delivery depends on third-party services (email providers, Slack, Telegram). We are not liable for delayed or undelivered notifications caused by third-party service outages.

7. API Usage

7.1 API Keys

API access requires an API key. Keys are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for all requests made with your API key.

7.2 Rate Limits

API requests are subject to rate limits based on your plan tier. Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Persistent abuse may result in key revocation.

7.3 Permitted Use

You may use API data to power internal tools, dashboards, and applications. You may not use API data to build a competing price comparison service or redistribute raw data in bulk.

8. Intellectual Property

The EasyTLDs name, logo, website design, and original content are our intellectual property. The aggregated price data we collect is presented for informational purposes. Individual registrar names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

You may link to EasyTLDs pages and embed public status page badges. You may not frame, mirror, or reproduce substantial portions of the site without permission.

9. Public Status Pages

Status pages you create are publicly accessible via their URL slug. You are responsible for the content of your status page title. We reserve the right to remove status pages that contain offensive, misleading, or illegal content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from inaccurate price data, missed monitoring alerts, or service downtime
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EasyTLDs, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
