Ping monitoring measures TCP connection latency and packet loss from multiple geographic locations. This helps you understand how fast your server responds worldwide.
Configuration
- Go to Settings → Ping Monitor.
- Enable the ping monitor toggle.
- Set the check interval (1–30 minutes).
- Set the packet loss alert threshold (default: 50%).
- Select which monitoring locations to use.
Metrics
- Average latency — typical response time in milliseconds
- Min/Max latency — fastest and slowest responses
- Packet loss — percentage of failed connection attempts
Note: EasyTLDs uses TCP-based ping (port 443/80) rather than ICMP, as ICMP requires root access on monitoring nodes.
